On a short plant, 45-50 cm high, yellow “pencils” will grow hidden behind vigorous, mild green leaves. These golden legumes, 12-14 cm long and stringless, have a round cross section 8-9 mm wide. You will be picking them for a long time since the plant is resistant to bacterial diseases and flower viruses throughout the growing season. Sow it densely, even in double rows, use around 80 kg of seeds per hectare, water regularly, and you’ll have a lot to do at harvest time. Pick it young and yellow before the seeds have formed.
